Directed by Siavash Shabanpour, “The Case of Metranpazhem” by Alexander Vampilov, the Russian Playwright, is a great Comedy written at 1971. The play is targeting the dilemma, 50 years after the Russian Revolution in 1971 and eighteen years after the passing of Joseph Stalin; the time of growing optimism and hope among Russian Intellectuals to regain the manifesto of long gone revolution and establishing social-cultural reforms. The play is a presentation of cultural complications and problems of the Russian society such as accusations, fraud, doubt, lies, treasons and misjudgments. In an intense yet intelligent comedy, the problems that although based in specific time and location are still our everyday issues in the modern society.
